Summer term's music

The Summer term will feature a wide variety of music, including some well known song and musical themes.

About the orchestra

The Windsor Community Orchestra performs 3 concerts a year. Each concert includes 5 or 6 orchestral pieces, and also features solos and smaller groups made up of members of the orchestra.

The orchestra meets for 10 weeks each academic term, with a 1 week break in in the middle. The last week of the 10 is always a concert, and the week before that is usually the dress rehearsal.

Entrance to the concert is free (a voluntary collection is taken).

The rehearsals are held on Thursdays starting at 7.00 p.m. and run for 2 hours, including a break in the middle for drinks, buiscuits and chat. The emphasis is on having fun making music, and our ambition is that everyone leaves playing a little bit better whilst also having a smile on their face.

All rehearsals are held at Dedworth Green Baptist Church.

Joining the orchestra costs only £25 per term with reductions for additional family members.

To join the orchestra, you can use the form on the "Contact us" page, e-mail Elaine at wco@windsororchestra.org.uk, call on 01753 859123, or even just turn up, instrument in hand, at one of the rehearsals.
